Inspired by the beauty that is in every day things.
Bethany’s love of Art started at a young age. She was obsessed with the practice of getting “inside the lines” when coloring in her coloring books. She doodled relentlessly on school homework and focused more on her elementary art classes than other subjects. When thinking about a college degree, she focused on Art history and psychology courses, but that would soon be derailed for a Nursing degree and career.
Fast forward twenty years and an injury that left her physically and emotionally drained, she started to paint. Not knowing what direction or medium she would use, she began to use social media “Instagram” to document her progress and painting catalog. Her most used medium is watercolor, and at times gouache. Generally speaking, she is not a loose watercolor painter, though it works at times. She still likes to get “inside the lines”.
Take a look at her paintings. All pieces are drawn and painted by hand using watercolor and sometimes gouache. The paintings are defined by intricate pattern marks and lots of fun color combinations. The subjects range from floral, fruit, and sometimes vegetables in still life with pottery, vases, cups, etc, with a touch of abstract in the mix. Enjoy the gallery and brighten up your home with one of her prints. Bethany has more ideas on the horizon and would love to expand her inventory.
